"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss

Memorial Elementary PTO is hosting a Read-A-Thon from 2/28/22-3/4/22. Students will aim to read each day, and track their minutes in a reading log. The week will be filled with fun opportunities to get kids reading!

Monday and Tuesday, students may shop at the Scholastic Book Fair for a new, exciting reading adventure! On Thursday, 3/3, and Friday, 3/4, older students will have a chance to read to, and with adoptable dogs, courtesy of Paws for Literacy.  Or students may simply relax and read with calm, classical music playing in the library.

You can help support a student's reading adventure by pledging an amount of money per minutes read, or by pledging a flat amount.

To start, please visit our fundraising page at: https://app.99pledges.com/fund/MemorialElementary
Search for your scholar's name at the box in the top right corner and it will take you to their personal pledge page.

Email or text the student's pledge page to family, friends, or post on your personal social media pages! Please know that no amount is too small. Your encouragement and support are both truly appreciated. Donations are tax deductible!

We are raising funds to support school supplies - for current and future needs. In addition, we hope to raise enough to support enrichments and other needs to ensure our scholars and staff at Memorial Elementary have the best chance at success during their time at Memorial.

Students who read above a certain amount or fundraise above a certain amount will be entered to win larger prizes. And the class with the highest amount fundraised will receive a party! If we reach our incredible goal of $20,000 - we'll host a SCHOOL-WIDE PIZZA PARTY to celebrate!
