We kicked off the school year with a packed house at our first General PTO Meeting! Couldn’t attend in person? No worries. Members can view the full recording on our Parent Square post.

For our neighbors and community partners, here's a recap of how we're supporting students heading into the new school year:

Big Wins Already This Year

Since May, your PTO has already helped fund:

$33,000 in new cafeteria tables and benches
$15,000 in books and media support for the library
$7,200 for bathroom repairs (14 stalls!)
Repairs and upgrades to the courtyard, PE area, and garden
A $10,000 Sprouts grant launching our school composting and cooking program
A new kiln for student art projects

All this while saving more than $20,000 in costs thanks to volunteer help. Incredible!

Each year, the PTO invests around $300 per student in supplies, enrichment, and classroom support. Your membership, donations, and volunteer hours make this possible.

Where We Need You Most

The PTO’s impact grows with community involvement. Here are our biggest needs:

Grant Writers

We’re seeking volunteers with writing, research, or nonprofit fundraising experience to help secure grant funding for school initiatives.

Historians & Memorial Alumni

Did you, or someone you know, grow up going to Memorial Elementary School? As the school marks 100 years, we're gathering stories and photos to help us celebrate its legacy in the neighborhood and support its future.
