Meet the Teacher Is August 7: Here's What to Expect

We’re excited to welcome Memorial families back to campus for Meet the Teacher, a back-to-school tradition that helps set the tone for a successful year.

🗓️ Join us Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Memorial Elementary.

Whether you're new to our school or returning for another great year, this is a chance for students to get comfortable in their classrooms while families to connect and prepare for the year ahead.

Who's Invited?

All families of students who plan to attend Memorial Elementary School in the 2025-2026 school year.

What to Expect

Families will have the chance to:

• Welcome presentation by Principal Lavergne at 5pm

• See your child's teacher assignments

• Visit classrooms and meet your child’s teacher(s)

• Drop off school supplies

• Say hello to staff and administrators

• Ask questions and get help with student registration

• Pick up information about the PTO and how to get involved
  

This is also a great time to learn about upcoming events, ask questions, and connect with other families in your grade level.

Stop by the PTO Table

We will have a booth with lots of ways to support our school community. Come by to:

• Sign up for your PTO membership

• Buy spirit shirts for you and your students

• Pre-purchase a birthday sign for your students big day

• Learn how to volunteer and get involved

• Ask general questions and meet PTO board members!

Why It Matters

A strong start makes a big difference. Meet the Teacher is more than a supply drop-off or info pick-up. For students, it helps them feel confident walking into day one. For families, it's where you can start to plug into the life of the school.

As a PTO, this event is one of our first opportunities to meet new faces. We are excited to be there to connect you and support strong relationships between families, teachers, and the broader Memorial community.
